Setting Up a clean Windows 10 -Get better performance on old pc's
while installing windows on old pc's u may experience different glitches and lags here we will show how to setup a windows 10 in old pc's or any pc's
phase 1
step 1:Get a trusted copy of your windows 10 iso file from Microsoft official website or find yourself from other places
step2:get rufus https://github.com/pbatard/rufus/releases/download/v3.14/rufus-3.14.exe
and use this software to make ur usb stick bootable (which is at least 8 GB) if ur system is old follow this image https://rufus.ie/pics/rufus_en.png
step 3:make the boot priority to usb storage and then boot the usb
upto this most of us knows what to do.
now
phase 2

step 4:
select custom installationstep 5:in this step you have your disks named primary, logical and system reserved
now for clean installation ,you have to delete the disk that windows previously installed (not formatting but the delete option )that is the primary disk and the system reserved too.
step6:after deletion you can see "unallocated space" in you disk click that and begin installation
___________________________________________________________________________________
after finishing installation windows will boot up and by completing every steps you will reach ur desktop and here we start to do our cleaning
step1:Stopping windows automatic update
got to start menu type edit group policy click to open>computer configuration>administrative templates>windows components>windows update>configure automatic update double click
do the same for "allow updates to automatically download over metered connection" and "allow automatic updates immediate installation"
step2:still there are chances of background data usage to avoid that set the connection to "metered"
go to your connection and select "manage known network" then double click to connection to see properties click "properties" then set the connection as metered.
Now the unnecessary data usage will stop.
step3:Switch to high performance power plan
search power
settings>select adjust for best performance
to keep better reading experience check the "smooth edges of screen font" then apply and ok
step5:Disable background apps
search background and select the option in green like above and then toggle the app you wish to run in the background.
step6:Disable search indexing
search indexing
select "indexing option " in the box appeared click "modify">show all location >now uncheck every location and "ok"
step7:Increase page file size
search "Advanced system settings " open Advanced system settings
settings>advanced>under the "Virtual memory" click the Change button>uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers
now select custom size >"it is recommended to use a number one and a half times the total available memory for the "Initial size" and three times of available memory for the "Maximum size" when possible."
click set >ok
step 8:u can either use windows defender or Kaspersky free version .Both works fine
step9:if you are using old system with 2gb memory it's recommended to install at least another 1 gb ram to gain lot of performance boost
step9:installing display drivers
for old Pentium processors you can use this search method: chipset name+graphics driver
step10:find software for your monitor to adjust the display features (it could be free !!)
step11:last in the list but its important to do defragmentation of disk
type defrag to find "defragment and optimize drivers" then analyze and optimize drives.
